Changing Column Description in Table Maintenance Generator

SAP Table Maintenance Generator (TMG) is a tool used to generate a user interface for maintaining table data in SAP. The tool generates a screen that can be used to add, modify or delete data in a database table.

Changing Column Description

Step 1: Go to transaction code SE54 and input the table name. Click on Create/Change button after selecting Generated Objects.

Step 2: Go to Environment > Modification > Maintenance Screen
Step 3: Select the screen you want to change and press enter.
Step 4: Click on the Layout button.
Step 5: Double click on the column description you want to change.
Step 5: Change the text field in the pop up window.
Step 6: Now activate the changed screen
Step 7: Now go to SM30 to check the change.
